Dreaming of island holidays...

During our travels overseas, my husband and I have taken to writing what we describe as “word sketches”, which are almost-poems capturing our thoughts and feelings of the places we explore. I wanted to create a set of beautifully designed books to hold all our writing in an easy-to-read format. My ulterior motive was to have a project where I could play with the current design trends in dreamy gradients and elaborate, maximalist type. Since both books are about European summer holidays, I felt that these hues evoked the feeling of warmth, seaside, and sunsets that have made our trips so memorable.
